Summary

LM Link is a mobile client for LM Studio. The app runs on your Android device and connects to your computers and model files. We do not operate a cloud backend for chat, and we do not sell your data.

What LM Link does

• Connects to an LM Studio server you configure (typically on your home Wi‑Fi).
• Stores conversations and settings on your device.
• Can download GGUF model files you choose (from curated links or URLs you paste) and run them locally on your phone.
• Can attach photos you select for vision-capable models.

Information stored on your device

LM Link may store the following locally on your phone or tablet:

Sensitive values such as API tokens may be stored using the platform secure storage APIs where available.

Information sent over the network

When you use LM Link, network traffic is between your device and endpoints you configure, for example:

• Your LM Studio server on your local network (http://192.168.x.x:1234/v1 or similar).
• Hugging Face or other URLs you choose when downloading a model.
• Public model catalog/search endpoints used to browse the model library.

We do not receive your chats, prompts, or model outputs. LM Link does not include analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting SDKs that send data to the app developer.

Permissions (Android)

LM Link may request:

Internet / network state	Connect to LM Studio and download models
Wi‑Fi / multicast	Discover LM Studio on your local network
Camera	Take photos to attach in chat (optional)
Read media (images/video)	Pick photos from your gallery for chat (optional)

You can deny camera or media access and still use text chat and remote models.

Data retention and deletion

• Conversations and settings remain on your device until you delete them in the app or use Settings → Clear All Data.
• Uninstalling the app removes app data from your device subject to Android behavior.
• Downloaded on-device model files are stored in the app’s private storage and removed when you delete them in the Model Library or clear app data.

Children’s privacy

LM Link is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Third-party services

• LM Studio — software you run on your own computer; governed by LM Studio’s terms and policies.
• Hugging Face — when you download models from Hugging Face URLs, their terms and privacy policy apply to that download.
• Google Play — if you install from the Play Store, Google’s policies apply to the store transaction and device services.

Changes

We may update this policy as the app changes. The “Last updated” date at the top will reflect the latest revision. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
